Frankel, I love you
Just for the record, Frankel is the nicest teacher in Wash U!!!
I love him.
we were doing Urban Outfitters' evaluaions for his class.
At first, I was frustrated and overwhelmed.
plus I hate to present in front of a bunch people I don't know.
in case you haven't noticed,
I had the pic of " I fxxk URBN OUTFTRS" displayed on msn.
But, it actually turned out pretty good.
So now, I guess I need to find a " I love URBN" picture.
Anyway,
I am so proud of our team.
two presentations in a row and we still rocked.

雖然餅乾們經過長途跋涉~frosting有點斑駁+凌亂
但是 應該還是看得出來我想表現的東西吧...hopefully

Happy Thanksgiving
最近好忙 暫時有喘息的機會
趕快來把感恩節記錄一下
今年 繼九年前在Grandma Schultz家過感恩節
我又到了Stevens Point, WI
It was neat!!!
Brenda's appartment is really cute!
I like it a lot and she seems really happy now.
On the other hand, Steve seems sad and angry.
Hopefully, he will feel better soon.
And Phillip is totally a grown up now.
It was amazing, considering he was only 7 when I met him.
Anyway,
we had a really nice dinner (lunch in fact)
I spent some time in the house that I missed so much.
we bake cookies, watched movies...just like old times.
比較值得一提的是
這次我們是開車去的!!!
Ciwang and her frined, Arianna, were going to La Crosse
所以 她們邀請我一起~~~saved me a lot of money.
the driving wasn't too bad, it took us about 7 hours.
and it didn't seem that long at all.
總而言之
thanksgiving was good, short though.
And I have to get ready for finals now.

Change has come to America
11.04.2008 a day that all americans will remember.
Barack Obama has became the first African-American US president.
I can't believe that I actually witnessed the significant change
personally, I enjoyed John McCain's conceded speech more
I think it is touching
Here are some highlights of McCain's speech
- My friends, we have -- we have come to the end of a long journey. The American people have spoken, and they have spoken clearly.
- In a contest as long and difficult as this campaign has been, his success alone commands my respect for his ability and perseverance. But that he managed to do so by inspiring the hopes of so many millions of Americans who had once wrongly believed that they had little at stake or little influence in the election of an American president is something I deeply admire and commend him for achieving.
- These are difficult times for our country. And I pledge to him tonight to do all in my power to help him lead us through the many challenges we face.
- I urge all Americans who supported me to join me in not just congratulating him, but offering our next president our good will and earnest effort to find ways to come together to find the necessary compromises to bridge our differences and help restore our prosperity, defend our security in a dangerous world, and leave our children and grandchildren a stronger, better country than we inherited.Whatever our differences, we are fellow Americans. Stone Hill Winery

冷了兩個禮拜 好不容易終於放晴
我們也趁著陽光趁著秋色
到St. Louis 附近的酒莊去野餐!!!
風景如畫 就是在說這種景色吧~
(如果你在 相信你一定會很開心的照個不停)
所謂酒莊 其實是個小釀酒廠
ps. 在Prohibition (1920~1933)之前 是個很大的酒廠
參觀tour結束之後 會被帶到個品酒室
在那裏 有各式紅白酒+香檳 任君品嘗!!!
各分為 dry semi-dry semi-sweet sweet
才發現 我不愛Dry的酒
總而言之
今天除了可憐的ciwang身體不太舒服
加上 我覺得酒不太好喝之外
(除了我 其他每個人都喝得很開心就是了)
可是說是非常完美的一天

檔車
今天有位同學跟我說他訂了一台檔車
感覺就是坐久了~屁股會很痛 XDDD
但是 說真的 我還是頗期待的啦
讓我好好看看你騎檔車的樣子
不過 騎檔車肚子很容易跑出來吧

我還是會擔心萬一有人偷偷給我跑去載女同事
我也知道你很無奈

depressed
First of all, happy birthday to mike, although technically his birthday is tomorrow, 10-23.
Happy 25th Birthday, my dear.
I shall be happy today, it's your birthday. yet...
I don't know why, I felt so terrible today.
I don't know why I am here, alone.
I miss home, I miss you, I miss all of my dear friends.
not that I don't like it here.
I sure did make some good friends here.
it just, I still feel lonely.
maybe it is my period that makes me depressed.
maybe it is all the works that make me want to run.
or maybe I just need a hug. a BIG one.

Eckert's Fun Farm

其實很多漂亮的蘋果都長在樹的最上面
今天走青春洋溢擁抱大自然路線
老班底 ciwang, nailin and I 加上ning and ray
(小軒軒 快出現啦...缺你缺很久了)
一行五人 在ting高超的駕駛技術下 往illinois的Ecker's Farm前進
雖然說他位於illinois但是 其實離st. louis只要40分鐘的車程~
小妹我 可是開車橫越了 Mississippi River唷 多拉風
一路上乃琳不時的偷瞄我的時速表~~~
其實我真的沒有開得很快啦 都在速限tolerance以內!!!
Eckert's Farm是個很適合全家大小一起出遊的地方
尤其是小朋友 一定會很開心
這裡有很多遊樂設施/可愛的動物/可口的食物!!!
還有好好吃的富士蘋果!!!!!!
其實很多漂亮的蘋果都長在樹的最上面
可能是要拿去賣的吧 所以我們都不能爬上去拔~~~
不過 賣相沒那摸好的蘋果 也是很好吃 甜又多汁
吃飽拔足了之後~往南瓜田邁進~
一粒粒黃橙橙的南瓜
躺在寬廣的草原上 真的讓人心曠神怡~
好開闊 好壯觀 但是也好刺!!
我不知道被南瓜的莖和梗 刺到幾次 痛死我了...
而且 high到最高點的Ting
自以為想拍唯美路線的照片...結果 摔個四腳朝天
真是有夠糗的... >"<

ps2. 因為還要趕回學校看海角七號~所以我們差不多六點多就離開了農場

我們四個女生 那天聊了好多
我發現原來不是只有我覺得自己是outsider
連我的美國人同學~也有這種感覺
因為我們四個~we are all new to olin.
我們的program總共只有25個人左右
但是 有2/3以上都是under 五年拿兩個學位的那種
我們和他們 幾乎完全沒有交集
誇張到 我們根本不知道我們的同學有哪些人.....
這點是我們都覺得學校做的很差的地方
MBA 或 PMBA 有一大堆social events
尤其是PMBA的 每個禮拜四晚上學校都會提供啤酒
之後 還會繼續續攤!!!
我們那天晚上就碰到他們 小小的一間pub裡大概有40個PMBA的學生
感情之好的!!
我們咧~~我們竟然連同學都不知道有哪些人...totally not fair
所以我們的結論就是 學校沒有social event 沒有關係
我們自己多多hang out!!! 哼
除了以上
還有一件很妙的事
那就是 我們的sarah被搭訕了!!!!!
我終於見到傳說中的美國人的搭訕了...
不瞞你說 我覺得很遜 哈哈哈
可是 他應該真的很喜歡sarah~
因為他失敗後 他朋友後來又幫他來搭訕一次!!
真的是太妙啦 XD
這次直接多了~~~我欣賞!
可惜還是無功而返!! too bad
Anyway, I had a really fun night.
ps 1. 當天晚上氣溫聽說是攝氏4度...抖
ps 2. 發現 budweiser select很好喝
ps 3. 紅襪竟然反敗為勝...

ps 5. 可惜我沒有帶相機...誰考midterm會帶相機阿 >"<

以上 是我昨天(10/16)中午考完business analysis using financial statements後的心得
重點是 我還有一科要準備 晚上還有一科 federal income taxes. how fun!!
還好 tax 挽回了我一點自信心 >"<

自虐
有一個人很愛吃鵝肉
那個人現在吃不到鵝肉
偏愛上網看別人大啖鵝肉
我只能說 這個人有病!!!!!!

鄉親們 快去幫我多吃一點鵝肉~~~
如果不知道哪裡有好吃的鵝肉
天母士東市場有間賣鵝肉的 是在地人強力推薦
別問我店名就是了 都是我老娘去幫我買回家吃 (汗)
在一樓 逛一圈有排隊的就是了 賣超好!! 有點貴就是了
晚上還會在天母東路八巷那裏擺攤做生意
不多七點半就會賣光光~~~好吃好吃!!!
台北大學附近也有間還不錯吃的鵝肉~
雖然我覺得他跟天母那間一般貴
但是 吃完鵝肉就會原諒他了~
不過 我還是最想吃到便宜又大碗的鵝肉

我已經對他思思念念快兩年了吧 >"<

嗚嗚嗚 我好想吃鵝肉
鄉親們 快去幫我多吃一點鵝肉~~~
如果不知道哪裡有好吃的鵝肉
天母士東市場有間賣鵝肉的 是在地人強力推薦
別問我店名就是了 都是我老娘去幫我買回家吃 (汗)
在一樓 逛一圈有排隊的就是了 賣超好!! 有點貴就是了
晚上還會在天母東路八巷那裏擺攤做生意
不多七點半就會賣光光~~~好吃好吃!!!
台北大學附近也有間還不錯吃的鵝肉~
雖然我覺得他跟天母那間一般貴
但是 吃完鵝肉就會原諒他了~
不過 我還是最想吃到便宜又大碗的鵝肉
傳說中的民雄鵝肉亭
我已經對他思思念念快兩年了吧 >"<

不是麻唷 是辣!!! 久違的辣
今天吃水餃+青花菜 放了兩根生辣椒+辣椒醬(一點也不辣 只有鹹)
再加點 醬油麻油~~~
我居然可以吃到眼淚鼻涕一起流!!!
這真是太神奇了 我的辣覺神經回來了
不是麻唷 是辣!!! 久違的辣

today, October 10, 2008, dow was down nearly 700 pts in the first 15 minutes.
看來 台灣股市離4000點也不遠了

Good News!!!
我今天拿到我的中會成績囉!!!
哇哈哈 比我想像中的好耶...我考完final都快哭了
沒有想到 還可以拿到這個成績

我知道他們之間有些issue~但是我從來不知道有這摸嚴重
我搞不清楚我現在的感覺 我想 不可置信佔最多吧
可是 看Steve 跟我講話的口氣 我又覺得 或許這對他們兩個都好
自我與家庭之間
愛情與責任之間
如何取捨
希望有情人終成眷屬後 還能live happily ever after.

這是我最近看的一部影集 heroes~ 最有名的一句話!!!
我個人很喜歡這部影集 是在敘述一些平凡的人擁有的不平凡的能力~
有正有邪 亦正亦邪~~
徹底滿足小時候的幻想~
我個人最喜歡Hiro 超樂天 超可愛
他應該是處女座的吧~整個活在自己的世界裡
我好喜歡他的 樂天+善良+傻呼呼
雖然後來發現第二季跟第三季實在是........但是還是很推薦第一季 真的!!
